Jimmy left his riding mower out one afternoon, and when the deer came into our side yard they saw the mower and wasn’t for sure what it was.
The deer are curious animals, if they see something new in their area they will check it out. This mother deer wasn’t for sure if the mower was something that would be dangerous to get near. She wasn’t going to take any chances with her young one getting close to it, they took off running. Photographer Ella Clem Facebook

This mother deer (doe) is teaching her young one ( fawn) where to find food and what is good to eat. After we have a rain, the deer likes to come in our yard and eat the wet leaves that have fallen off the trees; they also like to eat grass. In a way they are our lawn mowers, grin, not really.
Whitetail Fawn-This fawn has his or her tail up high; it is a sign of danger in the area for the deer. There are a lot of things in the woods, and area that the fawn lives in that is new to this fawn, and if the fawn doesn’t know what it’s seeing is safe; the fawn will raise its tail up, just in case it needs to run. When the young titmouse leaves its nest, its parents will still feed it for a week or two.
It is time for this young titmouse to get its own food. The parents have been showing the young one where to find food and what is good to eat. In the photos below;the parent is showing young one a peanut, young one thinks that he is going to get fed the nut. Young one has a surprise look on its face when the parent flies off with the nut. |
