Cardinal all fluff up
Birds can tell when bad weather will be coming in their area by feeling the changes in air pressure. They will start eating more food to fatten up for cold weather. By having cold blood in their feet and a type of scales on their legs and feet they lose only a small amount of heat when they are standing on something cold.
