Yellow-bellied Sapsucker Woodpeckers; I'm guessing that they got their name from drilling small holes around the tree bark, to get the sap that oozes out of the holes to feed on. From time to time they will return to the trees that they drill holes in for the sap. They also eat insects, fruits, and berries. They will at times eat suet that people puts out for the birds to eat.
In some of the old cowboy movies, they would use the words, “you yellow-bellied sapsucker”. That was a bad name to call someone back then, it is still a bad name to call someone.
